Being Green: The 2008 Redlands Bicycle Classic Presented
By PossAbilities Places Healthy Living, Center Stage
Redlands, CA- Spring time is arguably the most beautiful
time of year. The gentle rolling hills of the inland
valleys are illuminated with the many colors of wild
flowers that spring out of their lush green back drop
like a children's pop-up book. Enjoying these surroundings
on a bike with friends, by hiking a trail, or from viewing
distance at your local park is certainly something special.
The Green Festival at the 2008 Redlands Bicycle Classic
Presented by PossAbilities is geared to make your healthy
activities that much more enjoyable.
There will be nearly 70 vendors featuring products and
services all related to Health, Environment, and Diversity
at this years Green Festival that takes place Saturday
and Sunday April 5th and 6th from 9am to 5pm. "These
tenets of the 2008 Redlands Bicycle Classic Presented
By PossAbilities are all important issues to our community
and we have invited vendors that share these goals," said
Leilani Carlson, Redlands Bicycle Classic Committee member
and Green Festival organizer. "From community outreach
to corporate responsibility and healthy lifestyle products
to educational partners, we certainly have a diverse
group of people coming to show their wares at the '08
Green Festival."
With booths from, Sempra Utilities, Air Quality Management
District, Starbucks Corporate, Morley Water, San Bernardino
Community College, and Beaver Medical Clinic, just to
name a few, there is sure to be something that each visitor
will enjoy. After attending the Green Festival at the
2008 Redlands Bicycle Classic Presented by PossAbilities
your next ride at the beach, hike to the hills, or time
at the park with family will be that much more enjoyable.
About the Redlands Bicycle Classic
The Redlands Bicycle Classic is an all-volunteer organization, including the board of directors. The 24th annual Redlands Bicycle Classic is scheduled for April 3-6, 2008. The event was founded in 1985 by a community group chaired by then Mayor Carole Beswick to promote awareness of downtown Redlands. Since that time, professional cyclists from around the world have been racing in this event centered around the city of Redlands, California. The Redlands Bicycle Classic is on the United States Cycling Federation (USCF) National Racing Calendar (NCR).
