Star Power Shines on the List of Teams and Professional Cyclists Competing at the 2008 Redlands Bicycle Classic presented by PossAbilities A list of confirmed teams and participants promises non-stop action at this year's race.

Redlands, Calif.-As one of the first major stage races on the 2008 NRC calendar, the Redlands Bicycle Classic will have the big teams and the star riders ready to do battle over four days of racing. Twenty-six men's teams and fourteen women's teams will be lining up at the start line for the leg-breaking prologue time trial in the orange grove community of Redlands, California, on April 3rd. National champions, Olympic champions, and former world champions will all be on hand to battle for distinction as champion of the 2008 Redlands Bicycle Classic presented by PossAbilities.

With 200 men and nearly 120 women in the peloton, there is no doubt fireworks and exciting racing will unfold as each team battles for an overall win and the lion's share of the robust purse money available to riders at the end of their four days of racing.


About the Redlands Bicycle Classic
The Redlands Bicycle Classic is an all-volunteer organization, including the board of directors. The 24th annual Redlands Bicycle Classic is scheduled for April 3-6, 2008. The event was founded in 1985 by a community group chaired by then Mayor Carole Beswick to promote awareness of downtown Redlands. Since that time, professional cyclists from around the world have been racing in this event centered around the city of Redlands, California. The Redlands Bicycle Classic is on the United States Cycling Federation (USCF) National Racing Calendar (NCR).
